Central Borders Citizens Advice Bureau, based in Galashiels, is an independent and innovative advice organisation providing holistic advice and support to local people.
This role allows the Bureau to provide a high standard of advice to the public. The adviser will work as part of the advice team to deliver generalist and holistic advice and support to clients accessing our service. This will involve using sensitive listening and questioning skills to encourage clients to explain their issue(s) and empower them to set their own priorities in terms of a resolution.
We expect candidates to be self-motivated, results driven; passionate about social justice, have excellent teamwork, communication and organisational skills, be computer literate with a commitment to continuous improvement.
They will understand the importance of excellent customer services and have a commitment to equality and diversity, adhere to the Aims & Principles of the CAB Service and, ideally, have completed the Adviser Training Programme.
