Now in its twentieth year, the Mental Health Money and Benefits Outreach Project is targeted at people experiencing mental health problems, living in the community, and assists with the prevention of disadvantage within this care group. It operates as an integral part of service provision.
The provision of a holistic and reactive client led advice, information and representation/advocacy service (Welfare Rights and Financial Inclusion/Debt) fully accessible throughout the CAB outreach sites throughout Stirling District, but primarily at our key collaborator Action in Mind premises and the Livilands Community Hospital. NB – currently due to COVD19 social distancing restrictions, the service is being operated by telephone, email and webchat.
A 2nd tier consultancy support service to front line mental health professionals on rights, financial inclusion and associated social/welfare / legal matters for their clients/patients
CAB bespoke training on the aforementioned key issues to build the capacity of front line mental health professionals
An evidence gathering / campaigning role for clients experiencing long term mental ill health; to assist with the social policy function of CAB and the research requirements of the key collaborator Action in Mind.
