North Lanarkshire Debt Advice Service (Various Posts)

Money Advice Lead Officers x 5 (full-time) – £24,000 - £26,000 p.a.

Money Advice Helpline Advisers x 2 (full-time) – £19,000 - £21,000 p.a.                

Money Advice Coordinators x 5 (part-time) – £16,000 - £18,000 p.a. (pro-rata)

The five North Lanarkshire Citizens Advice Bureaux (CAB) are working together to test a new multi-channel debt advice service to increase the number of people who can be helped with managing their debts. We are looking for experienced, dedicated money advice lead officers, helpline advisers and coordinators who will have the opportunity to be part of this innovative, collaborative project. The outcomes and learning from the project will shape the roll out of the service to citizens across Scotland in the future.

The two full time helpline advisers based in Motherwell CAB will be the first line of contact with clients who are seeking advice through webchat and by phone. With the help of the five part time money advice coordinators (one based in each bureau), those clients who need face-to-face support will be assisted to prepare basic information in advance of appointments with their local bureau’s money advice lead officer. The five full time money advice lead officers will provide the full range of debt advice services and casework including statutory debt solutions. Clients may also be referred on to other agencies operating in the North Lanarkshire Advice Network to meet their needs.

These posts are initially for 6 months with the possibility of extension. We welcome applications on a flexible or job share basis, or for more than one part-time role (i.e. for 2 part-time posts in different locations).
