About the job

Airdrie CAB is looking for a highly motivated person with the drive and enthusiasm to fulfil the role of In Court Adviser within the North Lanarkshire Community Legal Service Project funded by the Scottish Legal Aid Board.

The In-Court Adviser will provide advice and representation to people seeking assistance with mortgage repossession, rent arrears, sequestration, simplified procedure matters. They will provide information relating to court practice and procedure or may refer clients to another agency/organisation where appropriate.

The successful candidate will have a successful track record of working in a client facing environment. They will have excellent teamwork, communication and organisational skills and be computer literate.

We expect candidates to be self-motivated and results driven and passionate about social justice. They will understand the importance of excellent customer care, have a good awareness of how rights and advice issues impact on the local community and have a commitment to voluntarism.

The successful candidate will be subject to standard disclosure.
