Why support us

At Citizens Advice Scotland, we are dedicated to empowering individuals, strengthening communities, and ensuring that everyone can access the advice and support they need to overcome life’s challenges.

Across Scotland, our network of Citizens Advice bureaux provides a vital lifeline, offering free, confidential, and impartial advice to anyone who needs us. Behind every statistic lies a personal story: a family supported so they can stay in their home, a retiree navigating the complexities of their pension, or a young person who needs support and advice to heat their home through the winter.

We can’t do this alone.

By working with individuals, businesses, charities, funders, and other organisations that share our values, we can amplify our impact and achieve outcomes greater than the sum of their parts. Together, we can reach more people and create lasting change in communities across Scotland.

When we work together, you’re investing in a Scotland where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. We believe in partnerships built on trust, collaboration, and shared purpose. Whether you’re funding projects, contributing in-kind resources, or offering expertise, your support will make a tangible difference.

How you can support us

We believe that collaboration is key to making a greater impact. We’re eager to work with like-minded organisations to strengthen communities and empower individuals across Scotland.

Support our existing service: As a charity, we rely on the generosity of funders to continue providing free, confidential, and impartial advice across Scotland. Your support ensures we can keep delivering the essential services that make a difference every day.

Collaborate to innovate: Work with us to develop new capabilities or technologies that improve the ways we support individuals and communities.

Work together to deliver impact: Join us in delivering services for the community, addressing shared challenges, and building a fairer Scotland together.

  • Donate: Provide vital support to help us continue our essential work.
  • Staff fundraising: Encourage your staff to organise fundraising activities or events to support us.
  • Payroll giving: Enable your staff to donate directly from their salary.
  • Till round-ups: Partner with us to allow customers to round up purchases to support our cause.
  • Ask your clients to donate: Share our mission with your clients and invite them to contribute.
  • In-kind donations: Offer goods or services that can help us support those in need.
  • Volunteer days: Arrange for your staff to dedicate their time and skills to support our work.

At Citizens Advice Scotland we welcome opportunities to collaborate with people and organisations to make Scotland fairer and more equitable for everyone.

As Scotland’s largest independent advice network, we aim to make a positive difference at both local and national levels.

We work with partners in many different ways from local research projects to large scale service delivery.

If you are considering leaving us a gift in your Will, thank you. Any gift, whatever size, makes a real difference.

We know that leaving a gift in your Will is a very personal decision, and we encourage you to talk it over with the people you love – they come first – and take legal advice.
