This is the fourth edition of the Energy Brief: a short but significant publication highlighting unique evidence from our network. This edition underlines the pressing energy challenges people across Scotland are facing and explores potential solutions. 
 
Key findings from the Energy Brief include:    

• Most recent figures from our network for spring and early summer confirm that energy costs are a year-round problem.
• From April to June 2025, over 1,400 people across Scotland came to us with concerns about energy affordability.
• In the last five years, the number of people seeking our advice with energy debt has jumped 65% and the overall quantum of debt people face is up by 130%.
