We are seeking an able individual to deliver our Local Energy Advice Project, funded by the Scottish Government via Citizens Advice Scotland.
The key objectives of the project is to assist clients who have: fuel debt; are in fuel poverty; carry out home visits and respond to local issues with regard to fuel debt and fuel poverty. The purpose of the post is to help clients to reduce energy costs, assist and advise those who have difficulty meeting fuel costs and advise on energy measures.
The Officer will provide a vital service to households throughout the Western Isles offering energy efficiency advice, tariff and heating advice, billing enquiries, advice on switching suppliers, payment methods, fuel debt advice.
Good organisational skills are essential, as is experience in welfare benefit and debt advice work and knowledge of computer systems and their applications. Must be able to travel within the local CAB area and occasionally elsewhere.
