Disibility Living Allowance consultation response

Citizens advice bureaux provide advice to a significant number of clients who are unable to work because of ill health or disability – in 2009/10, around one in six Scottish CAB clients were in this category. In 2006, CAS carried out research on the costs of illness and disability for CAB clients claiming Incapacity Benefit (IB) and/or Disability Living Allowance (DLA), which highlighted the vulnerability of this client group.
