Citizens Advice Scotland's submission to the Advisory Group on Economic Recovery

CAS welcomes the opportunity to feed into the work of the Scottish Government's Advisory Group on Economic Recovery. Central to our view of how to stimulate economic growth post-COVID-19 is the principle of protecting household incomes and helping with the cost of living.

Before the pandemic we observed a huge problem with the incomes of large groups of people and the outbreak has likely exacerbated that. It is our view that any economic recovery will be curtailed if appropriate measures are not taken to ensure economic security for people. Doing so will also ensure a wider and deeper recovery with more people able to act as consumers in the economy.
