Falkirk Citizens Advice Bureau is an independent and innovative advice organisation providing holistic advice and support to local people. We are looking for a client-focused individual with experience of providing specialist level advice, to join as a Help to Claim Adviser (Universal Credit) and to help ensure clients get the advice and support that they need from the point they make a claim right through to the first payment. This involves empowering the claimant by helping them complete the online forms, gathering the evidence required, and verifying their identity online.
This post is primarily carried out by multi-channel delivery; however the successful applicant will also carry out face to face interviews (including 1:1 video calls) as required.
You will be expected to demonstrate recent experience and knowledge of welfare benefit advice including Universal Credit. Applicants should also demonstrate good oral and written communication skills, good organisation and proficiency in a range of software tools to carry out their work, including case recording systems, MS Office, benefit check programmes and be able to make and manage benefit claims.
Committed, results-driven and supportive to the needs of others, the successful applicant will be able to work both on their own initiative as well as part of a team and must be willing to follow and develop agreed procedures.
