In joining us, you will be part of the team that make a real and empowering difference to people’s lives through an independent, responsive, trusted, innovative and flexible approach.

Our aims are to ensure that individuals do not suffer through a lack of knowledge of their rights and responsibilities or of the services available to them, or through an inability to express their needs effectively. We aim equally to exercise a responsible influence on the development of social policies and services, both locally and nationally.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and innovative individual for the post of Fundraising and Development Officer.

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the postholder will be responsible for the on-going implementation of our fundraising strategy through the development of partnerships with like-minded organisations working in the area, applications for funding from statutory bodies and trust funds, and the development of other funding streams. You will become an integral part of our central team, widening our funding base and increasing our autonomy. From time to time you may also be required to provide some support to our Finance team, thus gaining additional experience in this area. At all times you will work strategically to embed our values of TRUST, RESPECT and INCLUSION.

Excellent written communication skills for funding applications will be required, and experience of fundraising in other ways would be an advantage You will also possess the ability to reach out to partner organisations across the Region, negotiating and working with them for the benefit of our mutual clients. You should have experience of, and/or qualifications at, SCQF level 8.  Some evidence of Continuous Professional Development would be an advantage, although an enthusiastic graduate starting out in their career may also be considered and they are encouraged to apply.
