More about the job
Citizens Advice and Rights Fife (CARF) is an independent and innovative advice organisation providing holistic advice and support to local people. Our service continues to grow and expand, and we are now excited to be able to announce a new position attached to the stronger families’ agenda to help us achieve our vision of “A better life for the people of Fife”.
This role is to work alongside existing Barnardo’s services, already engaging with vulnerable families, to provide financial health checks, which aims to support families to maximise their income by ensuring they are not paying more for essential goods and service than needed and that they are getting all the benefits, grants and exemptions (council tax, energy etc) they are entitled to.
The Financial Inclusion Caseworker will play a key role in improving access to financial health checks and process and deal with all incoming Financial Health Check referrals. This service will include assessing welfare benefit entitlement, budgeting assistance, and information on banking services and affordable credit. The service will also actively refer both internally and externally where further issues are identified, eg debt issues.
The successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate a commitment to CARF’s vision and values.
The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Friday 9 April 2021.
Further information and an application form can be downloaded using the links at the bottom of this page or visit the CARF website .
