CAS are currently recruiting for the post of Social Policy Coordinator on a permanent basis.
The role of the Policy and Public Affairs team is to effect changes which benefit CAB clients and for consumers across Scotland by influencing policy and decision makers in government, the public and private sectors, and the media to ensure legislation and policy is framed in the best interests of CAB clients or consumers.
The Policy Coordinator will work with team members and CAS staff to provide quality support to bureaux to deliver to meet the objectives of annual and strategic plans.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable basic research experience and the ability to analyse statistical information. Additionally they will have experience of developing learning materials, delivering training and a good understanding of the policy-making process at local, Scottish and UK government level.
