About the job

Enthusiastic, motivated person with thorough working knowledge of the benefits system required as Kinship Care Regional Support Officer based at Penicuik CAB. The post holder will work with the Citizens Advice Bureaux in the defined regional area of Stirling, Clackmannanshire, Falkirk, East and West Lothians, Midlothian, Edinburgh, Fife, the Western Isles and the Scottish Borders. The officer will support bureaux in the provision of advice to Kinship Carers, deliver training and co-ordinate regional activities.

The post holder will work closely with local services and stakeholders, such as kinship care groups to provide support, share information and raise awareness of the service.

Applicants must hold a current driving license and have access to a car on a daily basis
