Due to internal promotions an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team of paid and volunteer staff to further develop our Housing Debt advice service across Clackmannanshire Citizens Advice Bureau. We have been delivering a valuable, high level service to the community of Clackmannanshire for over 50 years. We have accreditation in Type iii advice by Scottish National Standards for advice providers (SNSIAP) in the areas of Housing, Debt and Benefits.

We are looking for a highly motivated person with the drive and enthusiasm to assist clients who are council tenants with a comprehensive debt advice service including assisting with arranging repayments, re-negotiation of debts, maximisation of income and prevention of eviction including representation at court, if required.  The main remit of the post is to prevent homelessness and rent arrears for council tenants by taking a fully holistic and sustainable view to financial management.

A working knowledge of welfare benefits is required in order to assist with income maximisation.

The successful candidate will effectively manage their own workload in an organised and professional manner and have the ability to produce and maintain records thereby allowing statistical monitoring as required.
