Maryhill and Possilpark CAB has, in partnership with the North West Glasgow Community Health Partnership, won a grant from the Scottish Legal Aid Board’s Tackling Money Worries Programme to test out approaches in providing targeted, intensive and personalised support to low income families (including kinships carers) with children under 8 or with a disability living in the Possilpark area of Glasgow. The aim of the support is to enable families to resolve debt and money problems, become more financially resilient and to take steps that could improve their situation. Six GP Practices are involved and patients on their registers will be prioritised for support. The work is funded initially until October 2016.
We are looking for a Senior Money Advice worker who can work pro-actively; work collaboratively; apply and share expert knowledge; be client focused and results driven as well as lead change and improve performance. The post holder will line manage a Money Advice worker.
Experience of working to the Scottish Governments National Standards for Advice and Information Providers will be a distinct advantage.
