WDCAB is a major provider of advice and representation services in West Dunbartonshire. A key aim is to develop and enhance our services throughout the communities we serve.
We are seeking two enthusiastic, self-motivated, socially aware people with excellent communication skills and the appropriate technical skills for these demanding positions. Good organisational skills are essential, as is experience in welfare benefit and money advice work and knowledge of computer systems and their applications.
For the Benefits Information Worker post, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate relevant recent experience and knowledge of the welfare benefit system including Universal Credit. The role involves conducting face-to-face interviews. supporting with online forms, collating the evidence required and ensuring clients get the support they need.
The Money Advice Worker role involves undertaking casework of a complex nature - interviewing, advising and representing clients; communicating complex information and proposals effectively to clients, court officials, lenders and others in a structured, coherent and persuasive manner; advocating on behalf of clients and identifying strategies and options available to clients facing eviction, mortgage repossession, litigation or sequestration.
