HR and Employment Rights Adviser (Part Time, Permanent), Citizens Advice Edinburgh

A unique opportunity has arisen to join the team at Citizens Advice Edinburgh (CAE) and help us deliver on a new and exciting project supporting people experiencing difficulties in the workplace and those seeking employment.  This service is funded through the European Social Fund, in partnership with the Scottish Government and 3 other local charities: Community Renewal, Create and One Parent Families Scotland.

Successful candidates will have a solid background in Human Resources and/or Employability Services, have a sound knowledge of Employment Law and have experience of dealing with complex employment relations cases.

Successful candidates must also have a desire to support people in disadvantaged communities and be pro-active in helping them to realise and fulfil their potential and to sustain long term and meaningful employment.

A can do attitude is essential, as this new role will require creativity, flexibility and a willingness to work hard to establish effective client engagement.  The rewards are not only being part of one of Edinburgh’s most respected community services, but being part of a new and innovative approach to improving employment outcomes.
