More about the job

About the job

Funded by Fife’s Health and Social Care Partnership, CARF have an exciting opportunity to develop a new Project delivering welfare benefits and income maximisation information and support to carer’s across the region.

You will have influence in shaping and delivering the service, whilst working alongside key local partners involved in supporting carers.  The successful applicants will undertake diagnostic interviews with carers and identify appropriate entitlements, assisting with applications as required and making referrals to appropriate organisations.  The post holders will also assist with appealing benefit decisions where necessary and with providing general advice on end of life financial readiness.

You will have a good standard of education, high quality personal skills and a strong desire to improve lives.  Experience of working in an advice giving capacity and/or a knowledge or interest in the social security system would be a significant advantage.
