More about the job

About the job

The Citizens Advice network in Scotland is the largest independent advice service in the country. Citizens Advice Scotland is a charity within this network – we act as a national organisation supporting and representing the service as a whole and the interests of citizens.

We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager, on a fixed term basis for 1 year with the possibility of extension.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join Citizens Advice Scotland to take the lead in identifying new business opportunities. The full time post is being offered on a one year fixed term basis, with the possibility of extension.

In this role, you will generate income for the Citizens Advice network, securing funding through submission of funding bids, tenders and proposals.  You will also take a critical role in the initial stages of implementation and delivery of new projects to ensure smooth transition and integration of new services once funding is secured. You will support Citizens Advice Bureaux to create funding models and develop strategies and support for the network in their fundraising activities.

You’ll have a successful track record in business development and identifying new funding opportunities and bring experience of leading change and service transformation.  To be successful, you will also have excellent stakeholder engagement and networking skills to generate commitment to goals and build strong relationships and trust.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of supporting Scotland's largest independent advice network.
