Supporting prisoners in Scotland to register to vote

Convicted prisoners who are serving a sentence of 12 months or less in a UK prison, who would normally be resident in Scotland, are eligible to vote in the Scottish Parliament election on 6 May 2021.

The Electoral Commission has launched a guide to support those who work with prisoners to support them with registering to vote in the election. The guide can be accessed here.
