For the month of April, Citizens Advice Scotland is delighted to be supporting the ‘Shut Out Scammers’ campaign from Trading Standards Scotland.
As more people struggle with the cost of everyday living, rogue traders and companies may attempt to exploit the cost-of-living crisis and scam consumers by providing misleading information about products and services and posting misleading reviews online.
This campaign is aimed at empowering consumers and raising awareness of how they can protect themselves from misleading information and rogue traders.
This is a hugely relevant topic for consumers all over Scotland and we would encourage all bureaux to support the campaign if able. Further information, a social media toolkit and downloadable information leaflet are all available to access from the Shut Out Scammers resources page.
