Each Scottish Citizens Advice Bureau is responsible for securing the money it needs to deliver a service to its community. Many bureaux could really benefit from some help with fundraising.
Bureaux gain their funding from a mixture of places. Most Scottish bureaux gain some funding from their local authority. Other ways of raising money include:
- Awards from trusts and grant-making bodies
- Corporate supporters (including the donation of goods and services)
- Fund-raising events
- Licensed street collections
Fundraising is one of the responsibilities of the Citizens Advice Bureaux management committee. Contact your local bureau to find out what you can do to help your Citizens Advice Bureau help more people.
