Clackmannanshire Citizens Advice Bureau is delighted to have obtained funding from Scottish Government, to undertake the Vulnerable Persons Outreach Project and is offering an excellent opportunity for an exciting outreach initiative based in Alloa and working throughout Clackmannanshire. This will include home visits for young carers, people isolated due to mental health conditions, poor literacy skills, carers and disabled people who cannot afford to travel for advice or are housebound due to ill health or care commitments.
We are looking for a highly motivated person with the drive and enthusiasm to provide support to vulnerable clients who are first-time benefit applicants, seldom-heard groups and those who face particular barriers in accessing social security. In addition support people to increase their household incomes, ensuring these groups of people are aware of the financial support available to them.
An in depth knowledge of welfare benefits and a holistic approach is required in order to assist with income maximisation. The successful candidate will effectively manage their own workload in an organised and professional manner and have the ability to produce and maintain records thereby allowing statistical monitoring as required.
The individual will have excellent interpersonal skills and will understand the aims and objectives of the CAB service.
