About the job

This new role of Outreach Development Officer will develop and deliver services across the Bellshill locality, to provide advice and support to local residents on all generalist advice topics. They will also assist with volunteer recruitment and training, funding applications and other duties in the Bellshill CAB office, and at outreach locations. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in an advice giving environment, dealing with casework and working with an electronic case management system.

Bellshill & District CAB was formed in 1971 and became a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation in 2012.  It is a member of the nationally recognised brand of Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) and has continued to develop in response to the needs of the residents of Bellshilll, Mossend, Viewpark and surrounding areas.  The organisation is a member of the umbrella body Citizens Advice Scotland that provides guidance and support to all Citizens Advice Bureau in Scotland (CAS).  The twin aims of the service are:
