Angus Citizens Advice Bureau is looking for an enthusiastic and client-focused individual with experience of providing welfare benefits advice and income maximisation advice, to join us as a Money Talk Team adviser.
Money Talk Team aims to motivate low income families to seek financial advice to maximise their income by ensuring that they are not paying more for essential goods and services than they need to and that they are getting all the benefits, grants and exemptions (council tax, energy) to which they are entitled.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate relevant recent experience and knowledge of the wider welfare benefit system including Universal Credit. Applicants should also demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, be well organised and be proficient in using a range of IT tools to carry out their work, including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Committed and supportive to the needs of others, the successful applicant will be able to work both on their own initiative as well as part of a team.
