CARF are excited to announce we are recruiting for the position of a Financial Inclusion Caseworker to work as part of the Making it Work for Families project, alongside project partners Fife Gingerbread, Clued-Up and Fife Intensive Rehabilitation and Substance Misuse Team.
The successful applicant will work as part of a newly formed team to deliver intensive family-centred support that enables families to have the skills that allow them to cope better financially, including assessing welfare benefit entitlement, providing budgeting assistance, improving financial management and educating on banking and affordable credit.
The successful candidate will have experience and good knowledge of existing welfare benefits and on the debt relief mechanisms available in Scotland. Previous experience of dealing with vulnerable families and/or children would be advantageous. A clear understanding of the importance of excellence in service delivery is paramount to success in this role, including, but not limited to, adhering to CARF’s internal quality assurance procedures.
Membership of the PVG scheme will be a requirement for this post.
Ideal candidates will have excellent written, oral and IT skills with experience in a general or specialist advice giving customer facing role.
