About the job

WDCAB is a major provider of advice and representation services in West Dunbartonshire. We are now seeking to recruit a Financial Health Check Officer who will improve access to and the efficiency of financial health checks for vulnerable families and older people. This role will involve dealing with clients and partners by telephone, face to face and through email. The Financial Health Check Officer will have experience and understanding of the welfare benefit system, budgeting and money issues. The role will involve travel throughout West Dunbartonshire as well as attendance at meetings, events and training courses.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, enthusiastic team member with excellent interpersonal skills, the appropriate technical skills and a commitment to the work of the CAB service. Good organisational skills are essential, as is experience in welfare benefit and debt advice work and a knowledge of computer systems and their applications.

The post is funded until September 2019 (with possible extension).
