A Consortium of Citizens Advice Bureaux from the Scottish Borders and Dumfries and Galloway are independent and innovative advice organisations who have come together to offer a unique and enhanced employment rights advice service to those living and working in the South of Scotland.
As a new project we are looking to recruit an additional full time experienced, motivated employment caseworker to our team to provide advice on a range of employment related issues including but not limited to, terms and conditions, redundancy, maternity and paternity rights, sick leave and grievances.
The employment caseworker will assist the clients throughout their journey including representing them at employment tribunal should this be required. A relevant qualification is desirable however, full training for this role will be provided.
As an Employment Rights Advice Service caseworker, you will be part of the wider consortium team to embed our values of: TRUST, RESPECT and INCLUSION.
The postholder will be responsible for providing employment advice in a professional capacity; you will have experience of representation and tribunal work; experience of working with people with multiple and complex needs; ability to manage and prioritise workload; experience of using a range of IT tools to carry out your work, including case management systems, Microsoft Office applications, online applications, internet and email etc; excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and accessible manner; excellent organisational skills and the ability to operate as a team player and communicate effectively with colleagues.
Successful candidates will be subject to vetting through Disclosure Scotland.
