Purpose of the role: to provide support and mentoring to the volunteer advisers and to assist with training and quality assurance of benefits enquiries to ensure the provision of high quality advice throughout the implementation of Welfare Reform.
You will provide support to advisers on a day-to-day basis and you will assist with the development and delivery of benefits training in the bureau and with case-checking for benefits enquiries. You will carry a small caseload of complex benefit cases. You should have recent experience of providing advice and a comprehensive understanding of the benefits system and welfare reform changes. You will have excellent communication skills and be a confident user of IT.
