We are champions for both citizens and consumers and in 2016/17 the Citizens Advice Service in Scotland helped over 309,000 clients in Scotland deal with over one million issues overall.

This is a great opportunity for a part or fully qualified Accountant to join the CAS Finance team.  The Accountant will use their financial expertise to support budget holders across CAS, as well as undertaking a central Finance role covering a wide range of functions and controls.

You will be a financial expert who is able to break down the complexities of management accounting to support budget holders across CAS who have a differing range of skills, using your communication and negotiation skills to aid this process.

You should have a methodical approach to work, able to plan and prioritise your workload to ensure that your role in supporting the central Finance function is balanced against support for budget holders.

You will need to ensure that your work will stand up to the scrutiny of senior managers and the Board, as you will often be required to support the Head of Finance in providing Financial reports and  management account information to be presented at senior management or Board level.

An understanding and awareness of the unique challenges and requirements of working in Finance within the voluntary sector is desirable.
