Inquiry into migration from Incapacity Benefit to Employment and Support Allowance

Response from Citizens Advice Scotland (CAS) to the Work and Pensions Committee.

207,000 people in Scotland claim Incapacity Benefit. The majority of these claimants will be reassessed in the next three years, involving over a thousand re-assessments each week in Scotland. Advisers regularly report of clients with significant health problems who they feel are inappropriately found fit for work.
