Being Young Being Heard

Citizens Advice Scotland’s report Being Young Being Heard outlines the impact of the recession on young people in Scotland in their own words.

Young people across the country are struggling. There is strong evidence to suggest that young people lost out in the recession and will continue to do so.

Young people are three times more likely to be unemployed than the average worker, they get lower levels of benefit, find it hard to access affordable housing, and feel stuck in between where they are and where they want to be. While these are problems that can affect all people in society, they are hitting young people the hardest.
