In addition to the monthly reports being published showing the impact of COVID-19 on advice sought from the Citizens Advice network in Scotland, CAS is publishing weekly data reports to track changes in the type of advice people are seeking.
This report covers the eight-week period until Sunday 5 July 2020. It includes data from the 59 Citizens Advice Bureaux in Scotland and the Advice for Scotland website.
Employment-related advice remains more sought-after than debt-related advice, a change from pre-COVID-19 trends.
We continue to see a rise in redundancy advice provided by Citizens Advice bureaux and sought online. There has also been a rise in views of advice pages relating to employment tribunals.
This report also highlights some notable increases in advice areas directly impacted by COVID-19. By identifying those queries marked with a specific COVID-19 advice code by advisors, we can see particular increases in June in relation to debt, financial/charitable support and health/community care.
