Clackmannanshire CAB is a finalist in the Nationwide Building Society Community Grants Scheme.
Clackmannanshire Citizens Advice Bureau is one of the thirteen Scottish finalists in the Nationwide Building Society Community Grants scheme. The winning organisation will receive a grant of up to £50,000 for a project to help tackle the housing crisis.
The bureau is in the running with their proposal for the Cla-Housing Support Project, which will help new and existing tenants who rent from private landlords to secure and sustain their tenancies and avoid eviction.
The project will help tenants gain better understanding of their rights and responsibilities and educate private landlords and their agents to ensure all their actions are within legal parameters.
One winner in each of the UK nations will be decided by a vote. The Clackmannanshire project is the only proposal on the shortlist from a Citizens Advice Bureau in Scotland.
For more information and to cast your vote for the Cla-Housing Support Project, visit the Nationwide Community Grants Scheme page here. (Select "Scotland" and then the Cla-Housing Support Project page from the menu of finalists.)
