The Edinburgh Trusted Trader scheme is being launched today (17 June 2015) to residents in response to demand for a “go to” list of reputable businesses when people need work or repairs carried out on their homes.
The scheme ensures that all Edinburgh residents can safely choose a local trader and that they are informed and confident to avoid cold calling and not be pressured into buying something.
For residents that are struggling to find a business that they trust or if they are worried about letting someone into their home, Edinburgh Trusted Trader can help.
Backed by the City of Edinburgh Council and supported by Police Scotland, all traders on the scheme have been vetted by Trading Standards to give residents confidence when they choose a trader.
