The Money Talk Team national advertising campaign, co-ordinated by the Scottish Government, launched on Monday 19th August.
Since November 2018 the Citizens Advice network in Scotland have been funded by the Scottish Government to deliver money advice to low income families under the name “Financial Health Check.” In order to ensure that we engage with as many people as possible, the service has been re-branded as the “Money Talk Team”
The name of the service may have changed, but the quality of the advice and the aim of the service remain the same. We want to motivate low income families to seek financial advice to maximise their income by ensuring that they are not paying more for essential goods and services than they need to and that they are getting all the benefits, grants and exemptions (council tax, energy) to which they are entitled. It also allows them to access support and impartial advice where they need to e.g. debt advice.
