CAS welcomes Clydesdale fine

14 Apr 2015

Citizens Advice Scotland has welcomed the fine imposed on Clydesdale Bank by the FCA, for the bank's poor record on Payment Protection Insurance.

CAS spokesman Keith Dryburgh says:

"We welcome this and we hope the FCA will continue to impose similar fines wherever it finds such wrongdoing."

"This shows the need for strong regulation of the sector. Banks need to know that they can't get away with such poor practices: and consumers need to know they are being protected."
