About the job

Lead a brand new policy and research team at Citizens Advice Scotland.

We are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable and enthusiastic individual to lead a new team, standing up for water customers across Scotland.  Leading on water policy and consumer representation in this essential market and sharing innovation and best practice from other sectors, you’ll be at the heart of consumer policy making in Scotland.

You’ll lead a team to design and deliver qualitative and quantitative research projects, produce high level and influential reports and build and maintain relationships with governments, regulators, suppliers and private companies.  You will be responsible for leading on planning, ensuring delivery and reporting on an annual work plan in line with the strategic plan. Working with Citizens Advice Service colleagues across Great Britain, you will support the team to monitor policy development and influence for change in the interests of current and future consumers.

You’ll have at least three years experience in a similar role and relevant qualifications or equivalent professional experience.  Experience of leading a team, conducting research and analysis out with academic studies and demonstrable experience of influencing policy are essential. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough understanding of regulated markets and policy making spaces in Scotland and the UK.

This is a great opportunity to play a vital role in an organisation that campaigns for a fairer Scotland where people are empowered and their rights respected.

CAS has excellent terms and conditions of employment including 30 days annual leave and 10 public holidays, flexitime and pension scheme.
