Shetland Citizens Advice Bureau offers free, confidential, independent and impartial advice and assistance to people in Shetland.

We are currently recruiting for a Pension Wise Agent to be based in Shetland with some travel to Orkney if full-time.  The post is offered on a fixed term basis until March 2016 (subject to funding).

Pension Wise is a new free and impartial service to provide pension guidance as part of major pension changes coming into force in April. The Pension Wise agents will provide face-to-face pension and retirement information and guidance to members of the public, helping them to understand the full implications of their pension choices.

Successful candidates will have strong listening and questioning skills, proven organisational skills, good numerical and IT skills, and knowledge of consumer financial challenges. Knowledge of pension law and practice is highly desirable but not essential. The ability to travel to the mainland for training is an essential part of this post.
