In-kind support

Citizens advice bureaux don't just need money to continue delivering an excellent service to the people of Scotland - they need other resources too.  Here are some of the ways that you can help:

Provide equipment and materials
It can be hard for bureaux to find the money to do some of the things they would really like to.  Here are just a few of the things that most Scottish bureaux need, and what difference they would make:

  • More up-to-date computers would allow advisers to help more people, more efficiently and effectively
  • Professionally produced leaflets and posters would help local people in need know that the CAB is there and worth going to
  • New seating for bureau waiting rooms would make what can sometimes be a wee bit of a wait more comfortable

Want to help? Contact your local bureau and see what you can do.

Volunteering opportunities
Bureaux are also always on the look-out for more volunteers to help out in all kinds of ways.  Might your company or organisation be able to support an employee volunteering programme for your local bureau?

Visit the become a volunteer section of this website for more information on the kinds of work that CAB volunteers do.

What to do next
If you think that you or your organisation might be able to lend a hand or two, then Contact your local bureauor contact CAS to see what you can do.
