Donations and sponsorship

Every Scottish citizens advice bureau is a separate charity, responsible for raising the money it needs to deliver a service to its community.  CAS is a registered Scottish charity too.

Additional funds are always welcome.  More money will help the CAB service in Scotland find new and better ways of meeting the needs of the people that come to us already, and of reaching out to those that don’t.

Bureaux gain their funding from a range of sources.  Most Scottish bureaux gain some part of their funding from their local authority.  Other ways of raising money include:

  • Awards from trusts and grant-making bodies
  • Individual donations
  • Support from local businesses and organisations in the form of donations or sponsorship (including the donation of goods and services)
  • Fundraising events like raffles, competitions or sporting challenges
  • Licensed street collections

Want to help?  Contact your local bureau and see what you can do.
