IT support in the bureau

The CAB Service in Scotland is increasingly taking advantage of developments in IT.  In autumn 2004, all Scottish bureaux were networked and had servers installed.  We are always looking for people who can use their skills to help us.

Depending on the time and expertise you have, there are a number of ways in which you can help your local bureau, such as:

  • Supporting and training users in day-to-day use of IT systems
  • Working with the Citizens Advice Scotland (CAS) IT support team to identify and fix hardware and software problems
  • Maintaining your bureau network
  • Designing spreadsheets, databases or a bureau website

Apply to be a volunteer or contact your local CAB if you’d like to use your IT skills to benefit both yourself and your local bureau.
