Citizens Advice Scotland’s latest evidence report, Debt (mis)management, looks at the problems with debt management companies that have been reported by CAB clients. The market for debt management services has grown hand in hand with the exceptional rise in personal debt in the UK. The three main problem areas are companies that provide misleading information about their services, inappropriate financial advice and high management fees.
