Social Policy Successes is an annual publication produced by the social policy team at CAS. It highlights some of the successes achieved by CAS and the Scottish CAB Service over the year.
We would define a "success" as:
- Achieving a change in legislation
- Blocking a change in legislation
- Achieving a change in practice
- Presenting evidence to a new/important audience
- Politicians/organisations quoting our work
- Supporting bureaux to achieve a social policy success
- Media successes through social policy work
- Placing amendments
- Giving written/oral evidence in Parliament
- Joint working with external organisations
- Working with elected members
- Meetings with ministers
- Campaigning
- Private member legislation
- Devising new ways of obtaining/publishing evidence on bureau clients
- Successful publication launches
